Default Fiesta xr2i to rs turbo! Help and info needed plz!!

Hi, As the title suggests, i have recently purchased an xr2i, bodywork real good and i now want a rs turbo engine. im not a mechanic, im a plumber, but ill have a go. i have loads of info on these engines, but i want u guys to confirm and point me in the right direction plz.

I basically want to know what complications are involved in swapping the engines round, how best to go about it?

i want to build around 230bhp, i want a reliable engine and dont want it in the garage all the time, ive read in burton power that you need to change the pistons, lifters? etc. What would u guys recommend doing?

cheers in advance

I asked a similar question in here. Here's the answers I got.

Ignore my 1st post and scroll down to where Orannoco has posted. There's a lot of info there

the engines is a stright swap, it mounts the same as the 2i engine as it is a 2i engine as in being a cvh etc.
everythign will; bolt up as it does on the 2i engien, but water pipes will need to be changed to FRST water pipes, then the rad needs chaging for frst one, then boost pipes.
all thats left is the ecu and engine loom, these come off/ out with no cutting neede so the swap is very easy.
ok theres little bits i havent said about like, exhaust, turbo etc, but once main engine and box is in everything bolts to it and the job done.

as for 230bhp oput of 1600 turbo engine, your be hard pushed without a lot of work and you will deffo need a T3, which means a frst exhaust wont fit, and some other bits will need changing.

pointless as you would have to do a full bottom end rebuild costing £££ and have the blocked drilled for the oil return from the turbo.
