one of my mates has just bought a zetec s and he wants it to sound better.

i have just taken the dirt retention filter off my st170 and its miles better.

any ideas other than induction kits just yet ?

what do you mean you've taken off the dirt retention filter??

the dirt retention filter is the bit by the side of the aribox.

if you look above the battery where the airbox is there is something acttached to it from the other side and i have taken that off.

apparently its called something else aswell.

I took that off of my old focus, did give it a very slight roar

Drill the airbox.

Done the airbox on my A4 and it sounds just like an induction kit but for naff all costs. Added a K&N panel to mine as well to help it along. Funny as wathcing peoples faces when they stare expecting to see a hatchback and get an estate car instead
