Mondeo 16's and use a 195/40/16 tyre. Be aware there are two different offsets for these wheels ET40 and ET35.

Don't bother with Escort Cossie wheels. They DO fuck up the handling, I don't care what other people say. I have driven with Mondeo and Esc Cos wheels back to back and imho the only place for Esc Cos wheels is on an Esc Cos.

Escort cos rim are one of the best things i have done to my mk4 although they are a pain in the back to fit properly

Having not used them on a Mk4 and only on a Mk3 I can't comment but would have thought they would do no favours as the offset is miles off. ET25.

My old XR2i, lowered 60mm:

On Escort 15's

On Mondeo 16's

15's fitted straight on with no problems but the 16's needed spacers on the rear. Didn't rub and handled fine

I didn't need to do that. If u get the right offset wheels u'll just need spacers for the rear cox they rubbed on the spring seat on the shock

Sorry but i have to disagree with the too. Ive a set of 16 mondeo's lying around and a set of 16 cossy rims and opted to put on the cossy ones on my frst because they just look so much better.

Though i stretched the tyres a bit they banged straight on and are no pain in the arse and am just using Spax adjustuble and lowered springs, no spacers or rolling the arches apart from the drivers rear side needed rolling abit but thats maybe because of the tyre brand all the other arches didnt need touching.

If you aint too hassled about the difference and the looks then just stick with the 16's mondeo's The cossy ones will defer on different setups and cars thats why som ppl have complaints about them and some dont.

Lucky me

heres a few pics of my setup

Yeh know what u mean mate and am not trying to piss on anybodys chips but yep some ppl have had problems and recommended not to fit em and some havent so really at the end of the day upto the dude who wants to put em on and must be prepared to adjust or mod if required to fit em properly.

In theroy they are what 8inch wide and have an offset of et25 whereas the frst offset is et38 i think??

Am just thinking by fitting cossy brakes on mine wouldve made a difference on how these wheels fitted to my car????????
