Hey guys!

I'm looking to see if anyone can point me towards some help. I've seen a few people on scattered forum posts swap the dashboard from a mk4 fiesta into a mk3, and I was thinking of doing it the other way around, swapping a mk3 dashboard into my mk4, but any time I look for info it just finds the mk4 into mk3 swap. Fiestaturbo aren't letting people make accounts anymore, so hopefully someone here knows something :)

Here's what I've gathered so far:

- I know it's been done at least once or twice, but I've no link to anyone that's done it. All I really know is it's possible, and a small bit of info about the dashboards themselves from the mk4-3 swap posts.

- The mk4 dash fits into the mk3 good enough that a handful of people have done it, so it'd be safe enough to assume the mk4 dashboard would fit into the mk4 width/fit wise, obviously except for the mounts.

-the steering column, indicators & stalks, etc seem to be in the same spot, and share some common parts between the mk3 and 4. The chassis between the mk3 and mk4 is very similar.

-the clocks from the mk3 are analog, which means headache level wiring potentially, although I feel I'd be up to the challenge as long as I can figure out pin layouts and how to make the cable speedo digital.

-the heater controls are different and have less settings on the mk3, so some tinkering and more wiring will be needed to make a functional heater control panel, but I can live without that for a bit while I figure out the main job.

-based on the mk3-4 swap posts, the heater matrix may or may not have clearance issues, some people suggest keeping the mk4 matrix, haven't really been able to figure that out too well.

-the pipes for the vents essentially have to be cut in the middle on each dash and joined together somehow, possibly extended or shortened to suit the different vent spots, and I think you might lose a vent or 2,again can't really tell.

If you know of someone/a post that has done this, more infor about the 2 dashboards, or even more threads of swapping a mk4 dash into a mk3 that I can pick bits of info out of to help me, that'd be amazing, Thanks!
