no non injection xr3s were different , the rear wishbones were changed with many other modifications including rear tie bars and body mounting points in 1983

This also was produced with both revisions of the mk3 shell

my car was made in 1982 .i had put the mk4 wish bones on my car they went on ok ,but one of the rear tie arms snapped about 2 weeks later could this have been caused by the wish bones ? or could it have snapped any way ? the car is old !

i change the wish bones cause the original ones were very very rusty

any advice would be greatful

also will the mk4 ones affect the handling ?

they are known to snap the rear tie bars , i had one snap on my old xr3 mate just by the washers.
whether there compatable the later wishbones im not sure they changed them for a reason all i can say really is see how she handles bearing in mind the early rear tie bars were a different length as well and keep an eye on your rear tyres for scrubbing and add or remove the washers to suit to get the rear wheels tracked up . quite important that cause if the rear trackings way out itll handle dire as well as wreck your tyres
