Real Thick Question Whilst I'm at Work

Whats the red light on the dash at the bottom next to the petrol guage? It looks like a fan in a box? Just wondering as I haven't got the Haynes to hand @ work and it came on for the first time ever on the way here today?

paul cox Sep 23, 2003 12:15 PM

um - good question

bottom row - from left to right is :-

brake pad sensors
washer bottle level
oil level
????? (could be low coolant level)
fuel level

It's Czech Mate Sep 23, 2003 12:51 PM

Er may need to sort for Sat then if that is the case!

Anyone confirm or deny this?

paul cox Sep 23, 2003 02:48 PM

it will only be a sensor - you could have low coolant ??

dont worry - most of my lights are on ... - take the bulbs out :DD:

It's Czech Mate Sep 23, 2003 02:53 PM

Thats what I mean, need to check the coolant if it's going to the redline on the rr on Saturday. I hope she survives......

Clare Sep 23, 2003 08:32 PM

Its actually really pissing me off at the moment, the small patch of rust that had started to bubble on the botton corner of the passenger door I recently noticed has actually eaten thru the metal from the inside and made a mess of the inside bottom corner. Doubt it can be welded so prob needs a new door :wall:

Need drivers wing re-spraying and the re-occuring bubbles of rust cutting out and plating. And to top that off the passenger wing paint has gone flat even after polishing.

As much as it breaks my heart to say it I really do think she'll be up for sale early next year once ive sorted the bits of rust out.

paul cox Sep 23, 2003 08:32 PM

just look at my banger - for rust !!! - you'll see what a rough one looks like then

cant you keep it as a 2nd car - you'll miss out on all this fun ??

Quickie Sep 23, 2003 08:33 PM

door wing and a respray job done cant see that beeing a problem :top:

pete-rsi Sep 23, 2003 08:33 PM

                     NO

Clare Sep 23, 2003 08:36 PM

Possibly i guess but without a garage i'll find it difficult to keep it insured without taking out a full policy and it'll be difficult to keep the body work tidy if she's standing for the majority of the time.

Anyone wanna lend me an extra £50k so I can afford a house round here with a garage?! lol
