temprature gauge not working?

Default temprature gauge not working?

running my mk6 rs2000 4x4 up to temp earlier an noticed the gauge didnt work or the fan didnt come in there was plenty of hot air through heaters and the rad was warm all over all pipes were hot but gauge still didnt move i bridged the fan switch an it came on but i was wondering where the gauge sensor was to try that one?

my Escort is a mk6 1.8. the temp gauge sensor is the brass coloured sensor right in the centre of the picture, with the black plug going into it from underneath.

just remembered you don't have a zetec, so might be different.

no not zetec but i do have a similar plug to that but its in a cluster of 3 on the thermostat housing.. cheers for the reply tho.
