RS1600i shootout in Fastford!!!
Afternoon peep,
We are all in this months edition of Fast Ford, and guess whos mota is in the opening shot at the front next to Dan, mine!! and i've also sporting the cheesest grin out of everyone on the shout out pages as well which is quite funny! It's been ages since I have posted on here, basically I have just moved out and have no Internet connection at home at the moment so have to sneak a quick go at work on the lunch time. Definately worth checking out as there are some quality photos in there!
We definately need to organise something else now, what about a go at Santa pod, I know there was originally one booked in for the end of October, anyone up for a go early next year? I might blow it up then giving me a good excuse to get a mental engine sorted out! Top day anyway the shoot out!

Not seen it myself yet Ad - but I believe it is in
PMSL - about you and your cheesey grin No Idea what mine is like - as he was taking the shot all I could see in the distance was Jamie driving off in my car
We will get something together next year during the tour no doubt
Someone needs to convince me hard about the pod..... Im really not sure

Your there with your tong stuck out !! Although even that is not quite as bad as me The Pod is probably worth having a go at least once even if there are not enough corners in there for you! I think I would probably have a crack if everyone else was going just for the hell of it.

The POD opens in febuary...... - reckon gotta have a trip up there in march/april.
Once that 1st show arrive's - i hav'nt got a free weekend untill mid sept
Think the 3 guy's behind the RSi ON YOUR - will be Pete/Quickie/Tony Fuller.

Track session with just RSi's would be really cool, definately up for that! What about Castle Coombe regional day or something, like a session with purely RS1600i's that would be good..

I would be up for the pod or a track day. The pod is only about 1/2 hour from my house as it is.
Would prefer a few more corners though - could do with finding out a bit more about the handling and were it needs improving.
So I would definitely be up for it! Can show everyone that a turbo in there RSi is what they need!!!

only thing with a track day,is to many things can go wrong, the red mist set's in,you try and catch the car in front - then BANG & CRASH - you've wrote it off
At least with santa pod - its pure straight line stuff, less chance of stuffing your motor up
Been to castle coombe alot - see many a cars smashed up there,as for the pod - you only see um blown up,which ya can fix

Mostly caused by driver skill Paul (or lack of it)
I may know of a suitable track prepared car which may be available for hire at some events next year
Crashes can be tamed with a little training - and who knows the training and experience you gain on a track may see you in good stead out on the public road.
What would running up and down the pod really teach you about the handling of your car ?
Not having a go m8 - just hopefully opening up a discussion
