Smile How do I get a closer paint match for Stone Chip repairs?

I have a Ford Stone Chip Repair kit for my Magnum Grey ST170. I can see immediately that the previous repairs done with it don't match well on close inspection, so much so that i'll have to replace the bonnet at some point.

To the point...

Is there anyway I can alter this paint to match the old faded paint closer? Perhaps use of a thinner or adding a tiny bit of white?

Thanks in advance.

Build it up in thin coats rather than one wet coat
I'd also get the paint matched rather than using a Ford touch up pen

Thanks. I'll take her to one of the local shops and see what they'll quote me. If it's too high then i'll do it myself after getting a match sorted.
