Default idiots guide to machine polishing required

i have a silverline polisher bought it couple of years ago used it once didnt have much joy so want to have another go at it all i have is a couple of heads thats it so want as much info as possible oh and keep it simple lol

Im in the same position and everyone has told me to use a DA not what u have as the DA's are fool proof.

The DAS6 is the kit u need .

is it a dual action polisher?

im no expert on machine polishing as i still do mine by hand, there are some cracking detailing guys on here though who will be able help. Id advise you to sign up to detailing world and also autobrite have there own forum

A "DA" is a dual action sander, not a polisher! It wont polish a turd to be honest.

Ive always called them orbital polishers, as thats what ive seen them advertised as.

You'll be fine with a rotary just take your time, I started out using a sliverline rotary and was okay now I have a decent machine

Looking at getting a DA to finish and for bumpers etc

Search on youtube for junkman2000, he's got some really good detailing videos including a noddy guide for getting started.
