What tape for covering car for road trip
As above what's the best tape to use on your motor to stop chips etc on a road trip

most people just use masking tape

depends on how fussy you want to be you can use clear polythene cut out to the shape of the front of you car and use the blue tape to stick it on

It isn't done for style sake... It is done to prevent you from having to re-detail your car when you arrive at a show etc.

cling film and 3M 3434 'blue' tape, if it rains no worries. The 3M tape is waterproof.

Dose this 3m stuff still come off no probs on a hot bonnet as my frst bonnet gets so hot don't want the stuff melted to it lol

It should be fine. It can be left on a panel for days and not leave any sticky marks. It's used in bodyshops and detailing. So if it can take being baked in an oven, I'm sure it will be fine on a hot bonnet. I've seen cars with clingfilm and 3M 3434 tape turn up at shows. I'd take a quick detailer spray with you anyway.

yea 3m tape is pretty much what everyone uses for this kind of thing and in body shops
