I had a new tyre fitted last week and there's abit of that white stuff on the tyre wall, just wondered how I'd get this off. I don't have any tyre shine products so can't try that.

The white stuff is soap so just wash off with a soft brush and warm water

Its only a wax/sealant,

simple warm soapy water would do

Oh ok, when i clean my wheels last week i rubbed it with my wheel sponge(with soapy water) and it wouldnt come off, so assumed it would take more.

Ill try with a stiff brush tomorrow


And no its not my first tyre, just dont ever remember having this much mess on my tyre walls to bother about it.

The more soap on the tyre is a good sign of a decent tyre fitter. but a great fitter would wash it off for you. We used to use a hand soap or such like anything slippy really but doesn't damage the rubber. elbow grease takes it out
