easy tip's needed please

right a mate has just got a bmw it's an old one but it's in need of a clean.
He say's the paintwork is a bit rough, also that the paint has oxydised?wtf?
And also has a few scratche's down one side like it's been parked next to a bush and they're light one's.
So the question is what's the best stuff to use?
He's not bothered about it been spot on but would like it spruced up a bit.
Any info or tip's or product's that can help is welcome:top:

Rotary polisher
Will be very hard paint.
Can clean it by hand and try and fill/mask defects, but won't achieve any correction without machine.

As above - get the car mopped.

mrjenrst Jun 8, 2008 08:27 PM

forgive me but do i have this right?
Menzerna and a mop?
Is there just 1 type of the above?
And is it just use the wash car first then the above and done or do you have to use anything else?
Dont know anything about this cleaning lark lol

You need to get someone else to do it, can't jump straight into it, and bmw paint is fucking hard.

I'd still use G3 if the car is that bad

Menzerna may be a superior product, but G3 is tougher

Alittle to far for me at then at the mo then for a quick job.

if you could get some pictures of it up it may help in advising the best product for the job.

if its oxidsed and quite bad like he says doing anything by hand will only make it alittle better. as cutting by hand can be alittle on the difficult side lol

mrjenrst Jun 12, 2008 07:04 PM

i'll try to get some pics tomorow, i've not even seen it yet
