Only advice is to do it properly.

Wash, polish then wax but there is soooo much to getting a shine, for instance I took about 40 mins to do 1 door the other day.

1 washed it with snow foam (no contact cleaner)
2 steam clean off
3 wash with good shampoo
4 steam clean off
5 dry with waffle
6 used wool towel to full dry
7 masked off the trim
8 clay bar to remove tar
9 rinsed off
10 3 m fast cut on da then wipe off
11 3m fine and wipe off
12 3m superfine and wipe off
13 polish and wax and allow to haze over
14 buff with microfibre
15 remove the masking and wipe off with micro
16 clean windows
17 put sealant on trim

If the bonnet doesn't look good after the car plan then it needs prepping above with some or all of above.

It's a liquid wax that repels dirt and supposed to leave a year long shine as dirt won't stick or so it says on the bottle

I often use a nano sealant when I have finished, they are very good but you need to have good paint to start with.
