Paranoid about washing my s1
This might sound stupid but since my s1 was finished 2 and half years ago I've never washed it, for some reason I have it in my head water is bad for it and not to wash it or let it get wet, any body else?? Or am I alone lol

Barring in mind I've probs only done about 800 mile in dry weather so up until now it hasn't been to bad, it has had cover over in garage but a loose fit type and the dust has covered the skirts etc

Wait til the weather is a bit warmer, give it a wash and dry it off, give it a good waxing and it will be fine. Nice warm weather means any water will have dried away in an hour or so.
Get a few thin coats of wax over it, will protect the paint and keep it looking minty.

get a fucking grip lol! not washing it is worse than washing it, you want to see how dust can eat into paint and ruin it mate, washing your car will not rot it unless it was restored by someone who doesnt know how to apply sealer. i dont want to sound harsh like i understand people not using there cars in the rain cus its a minter even though to me thats a waste of a car, but to be afraid to wash it is fucking ridiculous you might as well sell it

Speak to Rsmat, he has a minter of a sierra cos and certainly cleans it up well.
I was initially like that with my s2 but after purchasing the correct washing mitts, drying towels, polishes and waxes I didn't mind one bit

I washed my S2 2 weeks after getting painted, it was in the summer and I used a damp cloth to clean each panel at a time and polished it and used a sealer afterwards, and each time it got dusty from driving on dry days I would just wash using minimal amounts of water then polish.
Mine always looked like new and I never had any problems for the 5 years I owned it.

I would invest in a lambs wool washing glove if your worried, only wipe in straight lines and do not go round in circles, put soap on glove with one bucket and rinse in a seperate bucket with warm clean water, therefore removing dirt from wool and not pushing it around your paint. Once finished and it looks clean, then treat it to a good clay bar and a sealer. I'm sure she will look stunning. Good luck mate.
