To be honest im glad the guns are not as powerfull,all you need to do on mw2 is aim and spray its way to easy, i have had 74 kills on mw2 in one match, and i regularly get 30+ kills easy, takes a bit more skill to get kills as you need to go more for the head on black ops
The only spawn issue is nuke and lets face it the map is tiny so you have to be spawed someware unless you want to wait ages untill a certain area is free from the enemy which would be even more of a pain in the ass

If you know you spawn in front of the enemy, just spin around and shoot the buggers! I constantly got spawned in front of the enemy in the snowy summit, claymores and laying down worked a treat. 
I agree with Al, the guns might not be the best but everyone's in the same boat so where's the problem?

The spawn issue is wider than just the Nuketown map, you just need to go onto the CallOfDuty.com forum to see how big a problem it is. Its not bad on TDM but play something like Headquarters and its a fucking joke. I've actually spawned right next to someone from the other team at the same time as they were or my favourite at the moment is respawning and turning a corner to find the whole opposing team there

not had a problem with the spawn positions myself 
but if it is a problem its easily fixed.
no martyrdom!!! hoorah
the gun power is not the issue it seems the same to me as if in mw2 you did not have stopping power equipped and is much better imo.
my only grumble is the grenades sound wank but thats a minor niggle
i actually prefer this game over any other from the series it has so much more atmosphere and the storyline is fantastic just finished the campaign mode last night.
i seriously doubt i will ever play mw2 or waw ever again black ops has it all for me

same here mate.havent had a problem with connections or respawning.weapons are maybe a bit worse than mwf2 but i think this is the best cod so far.i was really hoping for the overkill perk from cod4 when you could carry a sniper plus an assault rifle.

I'm really enjoying Blops. This is the true sequel to COD4 in my opinion, and is the one I've been waiting for. Nuke town can go suck a dick, though.

Im really getting into it now not played it massivley im proper pissed at the innacurate kills n deaths tho i like seeing how my kills n deaths are like it was on mw2 but i think ive got like 6 thousand deaths n 5 thousand kills but in reality it must be a couple hundred if that.

COD4, WAW + MW2 were all terrible on release week... Remember World at War servers going down for 48 hours in the first week due to overload... Everyone ended up doing the campaign as you had to complete that to have to option to play Zombies.

I like how you have to do challenges to unlock the pro perks, like capturing the flag X amount of times to get marthon pro. Almost annoying cos you keep running out off sprint trying to capture the flag. I got stuck on the last flag capture needed and would always run out off sprint when i nearly captured it but get shot. Very funny. Almost unbeliveable.
The harder you try to do a challenge the less chance of doing it lol.

I thought it was only ok at first but it's grown on me. Not sure about comments about people using full clips to get kills tho? I think it takes less compared to MW2. Hardcore TDM is still a joke tho...everyone just camps so I've on done about 3 games and fucked it off. Like the way you can buy bits as you want them instead of waiting to unlock sights, grips etc. TBH not used any other guns since I unlocked the AK74 with red dot sight and rapid fire

Its happening to everyone, I couldnt get a full game yesterday afternoon due to it constantly freezing up. After the 5th time of getting up and pressing the power button on the PS3 I just left it off lol
