3dr Sierra Cosworth with or without running gear
I’ve recently purchased a black 3dr Sierra Cosworth that has recently gone through a insurance claim due to Minor damage (now repaired) so it is on the hpi list and was also cat c back in 2003 which I don’t know what for as all the panels on the car are original from what I can tell. It is a complete car and as far as I can tell nothing is missing, it looks standard from the outside apart from it’s on coil overs and has a stainless exhaust. It’s a very quick car but has no paperwork at all apart from its current mot which is out in may next year. It’s showing 10k miles but has been around the clock. Engine wise it has a t34, genuine RS500 8 injector inlet manifold, alloy rad, inter cooler and turbo cooler.
Usual headliner sagging, needs a good clean but is all there. In my opinion this a good entry level 3dr that you can get in and use. The paint looks good and more than acceptable but I would want it resprayed if I kept it as theres bits all over it, the shell is solid and as far as I can see only one of the seat mounts is a little soft and about an inch of the drivers rear arch is a little bit crispy under the kit, I would say it’s had welding in the past due to the mot history saying the rear spring mounts where corroded but I can’t actually see any visible signs.
The running gear is very good apart from the engine does have the usual tapped noise and also there is a bottom end noise (not bad) which could be big/small ends but been like this for a longtime and never got any worse but it’s diffcult to pin the noise down without pulling it apart.
Car came to me repaired and although this will be a running and driving car with mot please expect that you are buying a potential project that will need bits and pieces in due course as after all it is 30years old.
Im not advertising this anywhere else as to be honest if it doesn’t sell I will keep it I just have to many projects and limited on space unfortunately. Please no time wasters, I won’t be giving out the reg number unless you are deadly serious, I can email pics/videos if required.
I would consider selling the car without engine, gearbox, diff, engine loom, Ecu, all rads/tanks and hoses in engine bay
Price is a firm £25000 complete or £20000 without the above.

Your car so it's up to you but I don't get why you think your Escort is not a useable car? A lot of Cosworth 3 door owners hardly ever use them for fear of theft or putting miles on them as well. If your Escort is a nice well sorted one you should'nt have much trouble selling it.
