For Sale Damaged 2wd sapphire
Hi
I am selling my 2wd saff I have had this car 15 years and it has had a large amount of money and time spent on it.
Unfortunately it has been involved in a heavy shunt
So I will start with the bad bits
Heavy impact to the nsr wing /door and rear suspension
The boot floor /rear wing and wheel arch are badly damaged
The nsr wishbone/rear subframe /drive shaft /diff mounting and shockabsorber are all us
The steering rack is damaged where the front wheel hit a kerb.
Good bits
The engine was rebuilt 8500miles ago with the following
Bores honed and new rings Pistons pocketed for increased valve clearence
All new bearings Malhe motorsport big end shells
All new valves and guides
Head fully gas flowed ports only slightly increased in size but all fully flowed and matched in size.
Inlet manifold and throttle elbow fully gas flowed and matched to head
New high pressure cosworth oil pump
Julian Godfery sump baffle
All new cometic gaskets
New-31 wastgate Actuator
New turbosmart Fuel pressure Regulator and braided fuel hoses
Turbo overhauled with 360 thrust new bearings and balanced by CR turbo
New turbo oil feed pipe and damper mounting bracket
New cambelt and tensioner
New Isky double valve springs
Starter and Alternator overhauled withe new bearings an brushes
Live Mapped at Motorsport Developments
308bhp and 305 lb/ft of torque
Stu told me the best he has ever had on a std T3 turbo is 315bhp so all good
Very punchy power without lagg
Good gearbox and clutch
Quaife Atb differential
Pro Alloy 500 style Inter-cooler
ProAlloy rad
Samco hoses
The list goes on
The pictures show the rest
I also have the following parts to go with the car
Four slightly scruffy std 2wd alloys which could do with a refurb but are straight with four very good tyres
Four spare doors
A rust free spare wheel well(cut from another car)
A brand new nsr chassis member (Genune ford)
I also have for sale a period bolt in roll cadge(will need the steps making up)
A new genuine ford roof panel without sunroof
We all know these cars are going up in value all the time and good parts are getting rarer to find
I think it could be repaired by the right man,I have too many other cars and projects to finish to do it my self so hence it being for sale
I'm looking for offers of £8000 ono If I can't get a close offer I will have to break it
Please Email through Pf if interested Cheers Tim Mob no 07917646718
The best bit
Full leather scruffy door panels<br/>NSR seat damaged by accident
4x4 alloys all damaged so will be swooped for std 2wd set

Sorry to see your car like this, if you decide to strip it I’m interested in your header tank with the glass sight.
Thanks

Category s:
A category S vehicle usually has structural damage (where the car's frame or underpinnings are damaged), whereas a category N has no structural damage, with just bodywork requiring attention.
Both can be repaired, but category N will present fewer potential headaches. Previously these were described as categories C or D respectively; the new system makes it easier to associate the category with the level of damage.

Hi
Thanks for all your kind reply's
I have got other cars to finish building and am running a RX8 as a road car at present
I may buy another RX8 as a track car in the mean time as they are cheep fun
Being 62 I have only got so much energy so need to be carful about what projects I take on.
Need to be driving them rather than working on them too much
May have to go the Ebay route but would rather not
Cheers Tim.

I will keep all other parts until the car goes and the buyer will have first option.
I will let you know when the car has gone one way or another.
Cheers Tim.

I do have one its been refurbed so looks quite good but was very pitted on the inside before it was refinished and you can still see the pits. Looks ok from the outside .
Depends how fussy you are.
I do have one other which was almost new but the inner rim was damaged in the accident I have got some RX8 wheels I will be sending to Lepsons soon and was going to send the sharktooth with them to see if it was repairable.
Cheers Tim

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Hi Tim,
thanks for the reply, it's to be a spare in the boot so the inside of it is no real worry.
I would be interested in the undamaged refurbished wheel please.
I'd require it posting, obviously I'd pay the extra for this if you'd be willing to sell.
Thanks again

I could do the wheel for £120 delivered
I would prefer to be paid by BACS to avoid any fees
If you would like to go ahead I'll send you my bank details
Have you got a Mobile no I can text you on.
Mine is 07917646718
Cheers Tim

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Looks spot on for your spare. A lot of people forget about having the same size spare wheel which is a must in my opinion.
I was lucky to find exactly the same size and style of my old school OZ Cronos alloys for my spare wheel.
