Default 1984 Ford Sierra XR4i

1984 Sierra Xr4i in caspian blue.
Base model aka no PAS, manual windows, no rear seat belts, no CL. Recently recomissioned. £££'s spent. 110k showing on the clocks.
MOT till mid august

Specialised engines 3.1 conversion consisting of bigger valves, cam, overbore
Power engineering S/S system
Custom air box with group A filter
Janspeed manifolds
Gaz coilovers
Xr4x4 rear end with LSD (new discs/pads)
Compbrake Grp a diff mount - original included
New clutch kit just fitted
Cosworth hubs with new bearings
300mm front brakes (new)
Escort Cosworth alloys
.
Good bodywork, fibreglass bootlid and bonnet. Rare early rear mud flaps. rust blister is at bottom of drivers a pillar the size of a 5p. Lacquer flaking on top of drivers wing. Few age relate marks as to be expected (stonechips and the odd scratch) Drivers footwell, rear of drivers sill and battery tray replaced in my ownership. There was a half cage fitted at some point and the mounts are still in place behind the front seats.
Original interior with genuine mats. Mint early mk2 dash fitted. MP3/cd head unit. Front door cards are incorrect though.

Reliable car. Always starts and runs great. Used as my daily since August . Plenty of grunt. Really fun useable classic. Recent service including plugs and Gearbox and diff oils.

Folder full of receipts, service history and various paperwork

It has niggles to be expected of a car of this age. The biggest being that the Gearbox selector is very sloppy. All gears are there but it takes a while to get the hang of it (if I was going to keep it I would sort this)
Car is very harsh on the road since fitting coilovers and diff mount
Fan needs wired in (it's in place the wire just needs spliced into the ignition live)
Fuel gauge reads incorrectly. It's empty when the needle reaches the red.
Tracking needs doing (new track rod ends and rack gaiters fitted) will try to get this done next time I'm home
Slight exhaust blow at downpipe
All in all I'd describe it as a rolling project that won't take a lot of work to sort out. Ive spent a lot of time and money on this car and had plans to 24v it but due to personal circumstances it's got to go.

Car is located on the Isle of Lewis, North Scotland. Car is sorn and not insured so will need to be recovered or trailered away. No swaps or px. £4000
