Default 1991 black sapphire cosworth

Ok guys, I'd like to see this go to someone looking to get into cossie ownership, so I'm advertising here first before anywhere, it's a j plate in ebony black with leather seats, and is 2wd.
Car starts, runs and drives and stops very well.
Pulls good in all gears and stops straight and true.
She's not immaculate but I didn't want another garage queen, so this is a very good useable cossie. It is in very good condition, but could do with a bit more love on the bodywork.
Engine etc is spot on, no smoke, rattles or knocks etc.
Suspension is all Koni with excellent condition shocks and springs which are all painted up.
Recent calliper she and vented discs

I have a 3dr and recently acquired this too, but one cossie is enough and my heart lies more with the 3dr.
Since I have owned this I have done the following to make it mechanically sound.

New turbo complete with -31 actuator
New stage 1 GGR chip
New plugs
New leads
New dizzy cap
New group a coil
New temp sensor and fan switch
New MSD fan wiring loom
New oil cap
New oil filter and oil
New thermostat
New oil pressure switch
New speedo cable
New complete set of roose hoses (coolant and auxiliary)
Standard air box
Standard boost pipes
Shark tooth alloys .
Rolling road set up at 242 Bhp @14psi
Probably more but I've forgotten,

I wanted this to be mechanically fine before selling.
Car needs ideally the passenger front door painting, and a scrape on them front bumper painting. A steering wheel as it has worn and looks naff in my opinion, but Im a perfectionist.
Has had repairs on the arches but then Most have I suppose, but a good job has been done.
Sometimes the warning light is on the centre display to tell you that the brake light is out but it's not
Car is HPI clear and I have the recent report if needed. Chassis numbers match logbook.
MOT till September last year, no advisories apart from nail in tyre.
Car solid underneath and I have pics on a ramp showing this
Lots of history, receipts galore and all recent work documented.
All in all, a good cossie , but with a bit more cosmetic work, will be a minter. I have a set of 17 inch wheels which will go with the car for asking price.
I also have a big box of spares which can go too
Not in a rush to sell, and not really needing to sell, but I would rather spend the time on my mint 3dr.
I will consider a p/x but only with cash my way, and for a mk1 xr2, rs1600i or series 1 turbo. Anything modern has to be a rs6 or something like that.
07900004743

£12500 firm or very nearest offer

Most mots from new with other receipts

Invoice for rolling road session and set up, and turbo fitting

Invoice for new turbo

Invoice from MSD

Roose motorsport hoses invoice

Engine now after new turbo etc

New turbo and actuator

Interior. Steering wheel could do with being replaced

Needs a clean! Just did a 60 mile journey!

Nice car that Marts! Quick question though, is it a 4x4 shell but 2wd engine and running gear etc?

Or was it a very late registered 2wd?

done a lot of digging and its a genuine 2wd shell that left the factory in ebony black, so a late registered / sold unit!
got the original receipt from dvla when it was rwegistered for the first time by mann egerton ford in Bognor and they have stated ebony black too. (with leather)
I presume the 4x4 bonnet was either spec'd or added after the sale.
checked the fuel flap and its a 2wd and there are no half moons in the front chassis for driveshafts either.
im getting more and more tempted to keep it. lol

So in that case it will have square speaker grills. And the dash facia is slightly different. Also the smoked rear lights and white fronts are std.

You have a rare car only a few still exsist.

Runs drives and stops faultlessly,

Nice, sounds expensive! lol

It's a 2011 Monte carlo blue (individual) V8, competition pack, just turned 30K miles, fbmwsh, got a brand new engine under warranty at dealers at 20k. couple of sublte mods like black bonnet and wing vents, got 4 brand new calipers going on to freshen it up, refurbing wheels and fitting new rear discs and pads over winter.

Love it but I hardly use it and I've always fancied a cossie. still unsure what to do with it.

What would that sell for? Maybe a p/x could be done with my cossie?

It's DCT, great box.If I traded it in BMW would advertise it for about 33 and prob sell for 31 ish with a years warranty, I think i'd want round about 28 for it, rare colour and low miles etc...

I've been toying with PX'ing with a 3door if I could make up my mind/find someone who was keen to do so, but the problem is I can't make up my mind!

Glenn, it spun #5&6 big end bearings, it was a fairly common problem til BMW fixed the clearances but I work as a tech in a BMW workshop and I've never saw another! it's had new throttle actuators and idle valve as well under warranty, which are also common problems, basically I've fixed anything that will go wrong with it
