S2 Escort Rs Turbo For Sale NOW SOLD
Hi all, apologies if I have posted any 'school boy' errors in this post.
I have for sale my 88 spec Red S2 Escort RST, ive owned it since Feb 2015, I purchased with the aspiration to look after it and slowly enjoy it when the weather turns nice. A year and a bit later and I find myself never at home due to work and the car being neglected due to lack of use.
The car:
F reg S2 88 spec
60,500 genuine miles
4 previous owners, my understanding it was within the same household
Part service history with historical road taxes to support
MOT certificates, 98-99 and 2002 all the way through to 2017
Its just been taxed and MOTd until Feb 2017
The car is in a fantastic condition for its age, you really need to see to appreciate the body work, no signs of rust on the shell or underneath.
Interior, again in great order, slight sagging on driver arm rest but that is all.
Its just had installed a brand new samco boost and coolant kit
A brand new Apex kit, front is installed but the rear has coil overs, so if anyoe is willing to put the time in I have the rear Apex to go with
As well as, I have got 4 brand new fully refurbished Standard Alloys with Michelin PS3 tyres as well as the RS7 spokes on the car in the pics.
The car itself runs just fine, however does have a boost issues and needs to be put on a rolling road and re-tuned, it back fires when going into boost and doesnt pick up speed.
I'm looking for £4,500 ovno SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
I'm not sure if all my uploaded pics will go through: but heres a link of my photobucket account.

Cheap price, on opening the thread and reading your description and the miles I was expecting another couple of thousand on the price. GLWTS, can't see it hanging around long. A good tune up should sort the boost issue easily.

Thanks, in all fairness im making a loss on the car from what i paid last year. I just cant afford it sitting on the drive way. It deserves a good home. I can see it fetching a good few more £ks in a few years or so

I know if i had this fixed i could bump the price up a £k or two, but im just being an honest seller at this stage. I think its a very fair price and somone will get a stunning car soon

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Ive thought about this, its an easy enough fix too, I just dont have the time and money to commit to the car anymore.

Shame I couldn't move my Focus on sharpish or I'd be on the road down for it myself.

Can I ask only realy interested parties contact me please. I'm getting a lot of interest and tyre kickers, please do not insult me by asking to drop the price, I know its a very fair if not under cut price, with the amount of stuff im giving away with the car also. It will be sold by this weekend.. Thank you for viewing.

It's a good price mate, stick to your guns, you'll always get people like that sadly, just ignore them. What I would say it would be worth doing is getting the badges back on the boot lid, just makes it look a bit more original.
Generally though, that looks a little cracker.
If I was you I'd take the seven spokes off and sell those separately (there's always someone wants them) , stick the original wheels back on and it'll still look fab and you should still get your price I would think.

Do you still have the original spotlights and brackets too, like in your profile pic. I love to see them like that. I think that's a potential show car with just a few little tweeks. Don't give it away though, there's always someone that wants to try and rip you off so they can make a massive profit out of it themselves. You know what you've got, so hold out for the money (or very close to it).

Hi all, thank you for all the hints and tips, as well as the PMs. The car has just been sold, a genuine buyer travelled 250miles to see the car and left with a very big smile on his face. No sign of haggle, he knows hes getting a genuine car that will be worth a good few bob in years to come.
