1989 Ford Sierra 2wd Cosworth Magenta
Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 2WD for sale. Currently 101,000 miles. 6 Former owners 8 months MOT Remaining.
The car is lightly upgraded with the modifications of stage 3 spec, T34 turbo, green 803 injectors, air to air injectors, 3bar map sensor, 4 position boost controller mapped at 1.5 bar boost at its highest setting on a level 8 ecu through a new engine loom. The gearbox is beautifully tight and close with next to no play in the linkage, I believe it to be recently rebuilt going by the way it drives. The car boasts are Airtec radiator and Pro Alloy enlarged front mount intercooler and brand new Red Roose Motorsport hoses throughout. It also has a 6 paddle clutch and twin box exhaust system which is nice and quiet for normal everyday driving but still has a nice rumble when needed. Finally the rear diff is an uprated and enlarged quaife unit. Suspension wise the car is fitted with new Koni adjustables covered no more than 250miles.
Bodywork wise the car has all original panels. It has had some paint in its life and does have the odd small mark here and there which is understandable for a car of this age. The underside of the car is its particular highlight being all completely original, the sills being near immaculate along with the rear chassis legs and rear suspension areas also being immaculate. The car has always been well kept and dry stored. The car is completely rust free the rear arches also are in immaculate condition. All the original windows are in place with all there original etchings in place also. The car sits on 18x8J silver MO6 wheels.
Inside the car it has an original uncracked dashboard which is quite a rare sight now. The car has full leather interior in good condition, stack gauges, oil pressure, AFR gauge and boost gauge. All buttons and switches work along with the clocks also. The car has had a new headlining fitted previously also.
The car does have some bad points; the doorcards suffer from the typical shrinkage, the wheels need refurbishing as every wheel has a small kerb mark on them. The cars a nice presentable car in great mechanical condition, a great runner could be used daily or wouldnt take an awful lot to return back to standard.
The car also has full service history a huge folder full of history, alot of part receipts throughout its history not a huge amount of recent receipts.
The car is priced at £12,000 ono.

Yes thank you I thought this also but have only had one person view but decided against it, he was after a standard one.

2wd bonnet, the rear lights, wheels are easy to find then visually it's standard and the engine modified, best of both worlds imo.

I believe they are secured through the number plate screws and have no extra holes drilled

This is lovely I keep looking at it, why anyone would want a standard one always goes beyond me there's zero enjoyment out a slow Sierra.

i remember changing the tail lights, fitting the rear cover panel, clear front indicators and a vented bonnet to my 2wd appx 1990..using the mint bonnet to weld up a friends car, those were the same days that saw mk1/2 escorts, avengers, cortinas, mantas etc relegated to the scrappies for a little tinworm in favour of a mk1 fiesta,an astra, nova sr etc happy days
