Please advise - What's a mint, caged MK2 Fiesta shell worth?

Default Please advise - What's a mint, caged MK2 Fiesta shell worth?

I posted my MK2 fiesta Zetec Turbo project a few weeks ago but I am now going to break it for parts.

I would really appreciate any advice on what I can realistically expect to get for it, I don't want to be unrealistic and list for too much but it also owes me a lot of money so I'd like to return as much as possible.

The shell is absolutely immaculate and genuine, the only repair is 1 small repair / welding to the sill.


The work tothe shell includes removal of all sound deadening, fully seam welded, New CustomCages Multipoint MSA compliant cage in T45 steel (with full documentation and plate for MSA compliance) and fully fitted and welded withdoor bars and strengthening plates, unique one off touring car style steeringcolumn fitted with SPA DESIGN quick release boss, preparation for fitting pedal box, preparation of suspension tops for fullyadjustable suspension, fixing point for fuel cell welded in place, preparationfor rear mounted radiator, arches prepared and rally arches fitted, Plate cutand welded for engine bay to mask all unsightly unrequired holes, seat railswelded in place.

In addition to buying the shell I've spent £1000 on the cage, £120 on Smith & Deakin arches, £160 on steering wheel boss and approximately £1600 on labour.
Any advice on its value would be really appreciated. Cheers!

I reduced it down to £5000 for everything. I would make more if I sold all the parts separately but didn't want the hassle if I'm honest. This is a list of parts;




● Zetecturbo engine tall block, professionally built by Devil Developments, low compforged pistons, steel rods, ARP rod bolts, uprated valve springs and retainers,black top engine converted to run silver top water pump and timing kit so noextra unsightly pulley, new bearings, oil pump, water pump gaskets and cambelt. Good for 400+ BHP


● GenuineGarrett GT30.71 turbo with 3 bolt Cosworth style exhaust flange, oil and waterfittings included


● Omex600 ECU with brand new loom from Omex for Zetec turbo


● ATL60 litre Fuel Cell, fully foam baffled


● CustomCages Multipoint cage in lighter T45 steel (welded in) – FIA / MSA COMPLIANT (new)


● Wilwood4 pot brake callipers with bracket to run 278 mm discs


● AIRTECCosworth 50mm core all alloy radiator (new)


● SPADesign 6 hole quick release steering wheel boss (new)


● TubularExhaust Manifold made by Devil Developments (new)


● Adjustablebias pedal box (new)


● CompomotiveMO5 alloy wheels, fully reconditioned with new Yokohama Tyres


● Smithand Deakin Rally Arches x4 (new)


● Smithand Deakin side skirts (new)





I have theoriginal gearbox, door / window seals, lights and all original parts that werestripped from the car. I do not have the original seats or door cards, parcelshelf or bonnet.

Peoples idea of mint are different ? that is far from it and needs lots to work to finish .


E bay it and take a chance .

5k?

I'm pretty sure corwen wants 5k for a very well built, competitive xr2 race car finished that wants for nothing after spending 16k! To build, It's also a gen xr2. Breaking it will see the best return IMO. It could easily see 10k just to complete.

These builds soon add up, we've all been there.
