2006 Ford Focus ST-2 Quick sale for $4500
Hey guys, with a heavy heart I've decided to let my ST go,
I'm planning to move to Canada next year to be closer to family, so I need to raise funds.
The car has been great fun over the last 3 years or so,
I've only owned it for a year but before that my best mate owned it so I've known the car for a while.
It looks gorgeous in Colorado red, seems to be a rare colour but I think it looks great, nicer than asbo orange in my opinion
Its been mapped to 269 bhp (I've seen it on the dyno but I don't have the print out), and pulls like a train,
serviced by me (qualified mechanic).
Last serviced less than 500 miles ago using Genuine Ford Focus RS plugs, Mobil1 oil etc. it has an aftermarket panel filter (Pipercross I believe)
Front tyres, Goodyear eagle F1, less than 1000 miles done, very good condition.
Rear tyres, Pirelli P Zero, Loads of tread, I'll measure how much later but I think around 6-7mm, very good condition.
It has had the dreaded abs module repaired which comes with a lifetime warranty
both rear wheel bearings have just been replaced
Mileage is just under 107k, average at around 10k a year.
Faults
Couple of stone chips, nothing particularly noticeable,
One chip on the boot where someone knocked the paint while getting some climbing gear out of the boot.
very slight kerbing on some of the wheels
Somehow one of the exhaust tips managed to detach itself, I'd planned to upgrade the exhaust to a mongoose but hadn't saved up for it yet.
there is a wrinkle in the steering wheel cover (the ST bit)
These are all minor faults but I want to list absolutely everything to avoid any confusion, the car looks stunning I have loved every minute of driving it.
Any other questions feel free to message me, viewing welcomed but no test pilots just wanting to kick tyres please.
The car is located in Cockermouth, Cumbria CA13
I have the v5 in my name, the car is HPI clear, Loads of service history, loads of recipts, only one key unfortunately,
I'm looking to get £4500 for it but as its a quick sale wanted I'm open to sensible offers,
please no crazy "£3000 for cash" offers like I had when I put it on eBay, I could get more than that from we buy any car lol.

Found the dyno print out, its actually 261bhp,
open to offers within reason,
I can't believe how little interest there seems to be in it, its the cheapest ST I can find and in better condition than some that are priced higher, but I've only had one person who has genuinely seemed interested.

I was trying to sell mine for ages with very little interest, it only seemed to attract time wasters and idiots. We decided to keep it as a runaround and went ahead and got a new car as planned. It just gets used for shopping trips etc now.We will keep it until its run into the ground now. Ours is a 2008 with 37000 miles on it. I was staggered how little interest there was in it. Im assuming no one wants expensive to run/tax/insure petrol cars now.
Keeping it also keeps the mileage down on the new 335D i got.

tax and insurance
£159.50 for 6 months,
£290 for 12,
I paid £450 for insurance but it depends who you are, where you live, and how much you're willing to ring round and haggle the price down. It's insurance group 34 though.

Hi fella, at that asking price give www.st-focus.com 01293 536444 a call they bought mine. Hassle free cash purchase and they picked it up the same day.
Ok nevermind just seen where you are in the UK! Good luck with the sale.

no, I think the guy who said sold was joking about the reach around I offered, nobody has even been to look at the car yet, I'd be pulling my hair out if I had any!

on the verge of letting webuyanycar have it for £3650 if it doesn't go this week, so the first person to stick £3700 in my hand can take it away, I'd much rather it went to someone on here than to them f**kers, come on guys and gals this is the bargain of the century!!

They'd be making a wasted trip then, I would tell them where to stick it.
A friend who owns a car dealership is doing me a favour and has put it on their forecourt advertised at £4695 and has apparently had some interest,
If I get desperate enough I'll ring webuyanycar but I'm gonna try and rearrange some of my finances and hold out till the market is a bit better.
At least I got a job now so things aren't quite so bad.
hopefully I wont end up having to sell it quite so underpriced after all, (fingers crossed)
