Audi rs4 2007, low miles high spec

12 Attachment(s)
Selling my rs4 as i dont get to use it enough and am struggling to justify the value of it sat in my garage. Its in my opinion in fantastic condition all round and is virtually unmarked. The mileage is very low at 34000 and it really shows in the feel of the car, everything feels like new, very tight and just as it should be. Full mot, tax until june.
The car is listed as cat d on the hpi, i brought the car as it is. I am a very fussy buyer and have over 10 years experience running a body/paint shop so i know very well what i am looking at when it comes to cars and paintwork ect, there are in my opinion no signs of accident repair at all, all panels look original, panel gaps are perfect, seams are original, hinges original, paintwork is as you would expect for a well looked after low mileage car, all correct nuts/bolts/clips/o.e stickers ect ect, everything looks factory, i have looked underneath in detail on a ramp including with the belly pan cover off and its perfect underneath too.
I personally think it has been cat d because the original front seats were stolen at some point, its unfortunatley quite common as they sell for a lot of money secondhand, it has been recently well documented in national newspapers and on pistonheads that the cost of replacing the front seats is unbeliveably getting on for £20k as the seats are no longer available to buy from audi, which is obviously writing these cars off, as you will notice the front seats are half leather and the rears full leather which is what makes me think that this is the reason for it being cat d as there are no signs of accident repair. I understand this can be off putting for some but all i will say is come and see the car and you will not be dissapointed.

On to the spec of the car- Bucket seats with electrically adjustable top and bottom bolsters, heated front and rear seats, flat bottom steering wheel, carbon trim pack, electric rear blind, pull up blinds in rear doors, sat nav, sd card slots, 6 cd changer, bose audio, climate control, electric boot opener, push button start, almost new mats, parking sensors front and rear, all usual rs4 toys and equipment.

Full service history, recently had a major service at my local trusted specialist with invoice for over £600, the work consisted of- oil+ filter, bmc panel air filter, brake fluid change, spark plugs, fuel filter, strip and clean brakes, new front pads- the discs are fine, full checkover including vac system and drc check.

Tyres are all matching dunlop sp sport maxx all with lots of tread on.

The car drives as new and without fault, it really is a nice car.

If you have any questions please call me, no timewasters/test pilots, i will be driving unless you can prove fully comp insurance and i think you seem trustworthy. I dont mean to offend anybody but i havent got the time for messers.

Im asking £16995, please bear in mind that this car would be worth between 22-25k if it wasn't cat d due to the low miles and condition, you wont find a better one at this money. I wont be entertaining any silly low offers by email. My number is 07752503234, feel free to call me and il be happy to anwser any questions and arrange viewings. Would possibly do a deal with a cheaper cosworth depending on the car.

How come all cat d cars seem low mileage? Do they 'loose' 40 or 50k when in the compound

CrOwSoN15 14-05-2014 06:28 PM

Proper bit of kit that, looks lovely mate.

MikeyRobbo 14-05-2014 06:32 PM

Beautiful car! One of those i wish i could have but know ill never own!

Seats look comfy as fuck not surprised theft is common

Good luck with the sale!

stevecfrst1 14-05-2014 08:07 PM

Most of the cat d cars ive seen have done around 60k. The history is there to prove mileage anyway. Also the condition of it speaks for itsself in the flesh.
The seats are awesome, very tight when you first sit in them but you soon get used to them.

I really really love these cars.

I just couldnt afford to pay 3k for a set of brake discs.

I cant see this car hanging about for long.

Have they tripled in price? :blabla:

stevecfrst1 17-05-2014 06:01 AM

Thanks for the comments. You can buy genuine front discs for £550 and good as o.e quality pads for £100, rears are a bit less. Its the same old thing with these cars, everything is fairly expensive but that is just something you have to accept if you want to own one.

Ebonycossie4x4 07-07-2014 05:37 PM

is this still available then?

stevecfrst1 07-07-2014 06:31 PM

I'd put the sale on hold for a little while as my wife is expecting our second child and is now two days overdue, also in the middle of house renovation so realistically it wasnt a great time to advertise it in the first place. I had my eye on a car aswell at the time of advertising it which got sold before mine so just left it.
I had my eye on your escos but didnt get round to calling you before i noticed you'd taken a deposit on it.

Ebonycossie4x4 07-07-2014 08:16 PM

yeah sorry mate escos is being picked up saturday.

stevecfrst1 08-07-2014 06:24 AM

If your interested in coming to look or got any questions give me a call mate , cheers

stevecfrst1 17-07-2014 08:26 AM

A lad I work with said he was looking into buying a RS4 and he looked on the Audi web site and get the price of there.

so how much are the discs and pads then.

stevecfrst1 17-07-2014 06:41 PM

You can get genuine discs for 550, bare in mind there two piece bell and rotor style discs so not horrendous really, and genuine pads around 200, but good qualty alternative pads are about 100.

£700 when i last looked; thats £2300 less than you said! ;-)

strada84 17-07-2014 07:44 PM

I got genuine discs for one of these about 6 weeks ago for a lot less than £700 (trade price). It's about knowing where to buy from!

Harris. 17-07-2014 07:56 PM

Still a great car out the box and would imagine they don't cost as much to run as a cossie , inc modding etc . 400bhp plus standard so wont hang around either .

I will get one ;-)

stevecfrst1 18-07-2014 07:13 AM

Deposit taken

Glenn_ 18-07-2014 10:15 PM

Fingers crossed Steve.

To me 700 quid for a pair of discs is still dear.
