Honda Civic Type R for sale, now only £2850! SOLD
I am regrettably putting my Civic Type R up for sale, I am buying a 4x4 for the missus so we can tow her horsebox . I bought it last year with the intention of keeping through the winter whilst my merc was tucked up in the garage, and it’s done a perfect job!! Was originally after a red or black one but gave up looking as I couldnt find a tidy one in the 'lower' price range.
Spec is as follows:
Civic Type R
September 2003 – 53 Plate
HPi clear with no finance etc
Satin Silver
Air Con (actually works!)
Mint interior (although drivers mat is starting to show a bit of wear)
5 months tax
MOT is due March 29th but will put 12 months on for the new buyer if they wish
Seats are in lovely condition with strong solid bolsters and no dodgy stains, rear seats look like they have never been sat in!
All four tyres are the proper Bridgestone Potenzas and have plenty of tread. Alloys are the darker gunmetal ones, few marks here and there on them but nowhere in need of a refurb!!
Bodywork in almost immaculate, zero dings or parking dents on either side, original type R stickers on both sideskirts. Few stonechips on the bonnet as expected and a small mark on the side of the front bumper but barely noticeable. (I’m vary anal about things like that!!). It even still has the original City Honda numberplates front and rear and the Honda dealer stickers!
93000 miles, stamped Honda history to 65000 miles then the previous owner (enthusiast owned) serviced it himself. When I purchased at 91000 I had it serviced by a friend who works at Honda in Chelmsford using genuine oil and filter. Also had genuine pollen filters fitted, new plugs etc etc. My friend has offered to keep servicing it going forwards if the buyer wishes. He was surprised how clean it was when he collected it! I’ve got all keys, handbook etc as well.
Has an aftermarket exhaust although unsure of make (was on there when I bought it, looks like a Magnex?), not overly loud to be honest, but loud enough when in VTEC.
Fitted is an Alpine stereo which will be included in the sale (if the price is right), I do have the standard one still which will go with it also if wanted. I’ve also added LED rear numberplate bulbs and sidelight bulbs to freshen it up a bit.
The car is lovely to drive, always warmed up before driving enthusiastically. Starts on the button every time and has never let me down. Everything works as it should. Its 99% been used for the 50 miles round trip to my missus house but she’s moving in next month so won’t be used. Its never been thrashed as i'm a bit of an old git now and past all that! Had a couple of DC5s in the past and this Civic to be honest is no different to drive!!
If you want a good honest CTR with no hidden surprises it’s definitely worth a look, I think its realistically priced so please no silly offers. Any more info please pm or email chris.foster@sc.com
Asking £3250 for it (with the Alpine stereo)

In a matter of months, potentially weeks I will need a reliable, cheap road car - this would have fitted the bill perfectly. So frustrating but I can't risk buying a car until I know what's happening :-/
This surely won't hang around much longer - lot of car for the money!
