*SOLD* MSA logbooked mk2 XR2 *SOLD*
Mk2 xr2 hillclimb car.
1700 x flow on twin 40's
big valve head
bcf2 cam
vernier pulley (needs fitting)
leda suspension
front and rear discs
hydraulic handbrake
fibreglass bonnet and boot
lightweight doors
polycarb windows
rollcage
buckets and harnesses
alloy fuel tank
electric fuel pump
The car has been stored in a barn for 6 years, and as such requires a little tlc/ recommissioning. The car starts and drives, and is reputeadly 140 bhp and weighs 680 kgs, so will be a right weapon! the engine has done 5 competition miles since being fully rebuilt, and runs well, but would obviously benefit from a rolling road setup, and modern electronic ignition to get the best from it, as it is still on points.
This is a proper competition car, the suspension is solid, rose jointed etc.
No dash etc. and minimum wiring loom, everything has been done to reduce weight
Comes with 7 pepper pot alloys with competition tyres fitted (lost one wheel on the way home!)
Also xr2 front and rear bumpers, skirts and one arch.
The number plate is known, as it still has its chassis number

Had a couple of enquiries re; the engine, so tomorrow it goes on the rollers to establish a power figure. We have stripped the carbs down, cleaned them out and put fresh super unleaded in her, and she revs of the scale at 8k!
Also, had a look at the running gear etc. whilst on the ramp, and it appears to be genuine ford motorsport stuff, including adjustable tie bar/anti roll bar setup on the front, and rose jointed anti roll bar etc.on the back.

Ok, had the car on the rollers and she made.............................................
97bhp!
The car revs nice and clean whilst standing, but under load on the rollers was coughing and farting and carrying on. I will take Ł1050 for the car as it is, due to the fact the carbs will probs need a rebuild/setup.
