Thankyou for looking at my e reg xr3i i came accross this
earlier in the year.
I have had a few problems getting it running and mot'd but it is
now fine , it was stranded in a barn for 9 years and is in really good
condition considering some of the rotters i had looked at before i
bought it,
it will come with just over 10 months mot.

good points
pretty clean shell, runs well tappets not noisy at all, clean
inside seats are firm and bolsters are not worn to death, sills
are really good, as are the chassis rails, underneath the car is
really clean in an unwelded sort of way, new pink relay and
replacement fuel pump. with a spare included
it starts on the button and ticks over fine engine pulls well and
has a lovely fruity sound, it has the nice ford stereo with the
joystick controller which works in all positions, cam belt has just
been done!

bad points
has a small hole in the roof behind the sunroof which seems to be a
recurring theme on these!
There is a little denty scrape on the passenger side rear arch
(30mm accross maybe), a little crack in the lower quarter in front
of the rear wheel, bit of a musty smell in the interior, either
side of the window on the boot lid inside there is a little rust
patch and hole however given a little welding time this does not
look too bad to sort out (i have waxoiled it to help in the mean
time), the majority of panels have a few pin head rust marks
although most have been touched in, driver and passenger door are
the worst with more than a few rusty marks but no holes
both spotlamps have damage to the plastics brackets however the
glass is fine and they are fixable
there are 2 little round marks in the front seat (driver) look like
cigarette burns to me but previous owner didnt smoke ?
the interior light has crumbled but the clock is fine and in rude
health
it currently resides on a set of rs 1600i 7 spokes but these do not
belong to me, it has the full (5) set of doglegs although the tyres
are shot (i must admit that i thought it would be easier to track some
down)

i have a few photos although these are to be fair not the most recent but i leave in the dark and come home in the dark.
however come thursday i will have a half day and am happy to photograph anything required!
I thought i had sold this last week but it fell through (previous owner!)
It has to go due to pressure from my landlord to thin down my 7 strong collection to much less as he is fed up of my lovely neighbours complaining and now my darling wife has put her foot down so that is it!

i would like £700 or nearest offer as i feel this is a fair price

for what is a very good base to make a special early mk4 xr3i
and can be taxed at buyers cost of £100 extra for 6 months as it currently insured!

Seen this on retrorides and it looks great,good thread on it too.wrong time and place for me unfortunately as that would be a perfect daily driver.

cheers vaughan, it aint perfect but then it aint concourse money lol i just need to get rid before the landlord comes back over really, i may have to rent a container to store it in temporarily if it doesnt sell then move it easter when it picks up
i didnt think i had overpriced it as it owes me this !
my plan was to move it for nearer 1000 next year after doing a few of the shows for giggles.
