cheap project- 1990 golf driver 1.6
in a moment of madness yesterday i bought this.....then realised that in 10 days im out of my unit and really dont need extra cars sitting around at home so im going to put it on here and ebay....
white golf 1.6 driver,1990 g reg.
has been off the road since 2005.
112000 miles.
body is in very good order with only some slight work required-it is very solid underneath.there is a bit of rust under the nearside moulding-not as bad as it looks.
the car had not run for years but with a fresh battery and some new plugs today it fired up and was nice and quiet and ran well.no overheating or anything like that.
drove it round the yard and it drove ok,however there is minimal brake pedal due to a burst wheel cylinder on the n/s/r.
had a new exhaust fitted in 2004-800 miles ago!!
interior is very clean-no wear on seats etc.
heater blower fan doesnt work-prob fuse/relay as the fuse box has been messed with as last owner tried to get the front wipers working which involved removing the motor, only to find it was the relay-wiper motor is still off the car but present.
it will make a nice useable classic car for someone,or a good shell for a project etc.looks nice as the driver had the gti grille, arches and the steel wheels are original.
i want 250.00 for it-will need trailering due to the brakes.
black bits you see under bonnet is old waxoyl
