2004 MAZDA RX-8 231 ps

I have decided to put my rx8 up for sale,i bought this car from a close friend a couple of months ago with the intention of using it as a weekend car but sadly circumstances have changed and the money could be better spent elsewhere right now so its got to go,the car does have a slight problem, when the car is up to running temperature it takes around 10-15 mins to start again (the car starts from cold every time without fail and drives beautifully)
This seems to be a common problem on the rx8's from what ive read online, after some digging around on various forums it seems that there are a few steps to take in order to cure the problem and these are, spark plugs,ht leads, coil packs and upgraded high torque starter motor(as fitted to later rx8's),the good news is the spark plugs,ht leads and coil packs have been replaced with brand new items at great expense before i got the car,it was thought best to start with the cheaper items first, the starter motor was next on the list but is a whopping £400+vat from mazda main dealers although i did find a supplier of genuine mazda parts from the USA for just short of £200 including vat and all import taxes etc.
Heres a link : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330443757346&viewitem= &sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
The car has recently been to my local Mazda main dealership in Ashford for three outstanding recalls,PCM update(not sure what this is,something to do with the ecu i guess?) oil cooler pipe and something to do with the fuel tank, while the car was there i spoke to the head technician about the hot start problem and he assure's me that a new starter motor will cure the problem, they see this all the time apparently, they advised me to have a compression test done while it was there to make sure that the engine was'nt worn which i did for peace of mind and this came back as all fine thankfully(which is the most important thing when looking to buy an rx8) this is very important as replacement engines are very expensive!!

No tax or mot hence price

The car is located in Ashford Kent

£3250 ovno

Why not get a test on it and replace the starter, then would sell easier

I'd tax and mot it and add a grand to the price unless there's something else wrong with it?

will put a hell of a lot of people off as for £300-£400 you could have this car ready to sell at 5k.

Seems like madness if there is nothing else wrong with it.

I knew i was going to get this because it seems cheap, lol,i appreciate what people are saying but like i said the money could be better spent elsewhere right now,it does seem like a bargain and thats because it is,people are right to be cautious when buying a second hand car especially when it has a fault,my friend bought this car for just over 5k just over a year ago,he began to have trouble with the hot start so spent some money on replacement parts before getting fed up and bought a new audi tt,he needed to clear space on his drive so offered the rx8 to me for a very reasonable price so i bought it,the plan was to spend some money and get it sorted but its just not an option right now.

Any inspection is welcome, nothing to hide here im just telling people what i have been told.

Forgot to mention the car is also HPI clear, any questions just ask.

Hahah this is what its come to now, you cant sell things cheap, it has to be stupidly expensive or bang on what the prices say elsewhere

Good luck with the sale
