Rare honda civic 1.6 dohc vti eg9 b16a saloon
1992 HONDA CIVIC VTI Vtec EG9 SALOON BABY TYPE R
This car has been the most reliable thing in my life for the last 3 years, it has one of the best 1.6 engines manufactured the b16a engine (known as bomb proof).
This is not ur normal rusty honda!!!!
SPEC....
160BHP standard, this one must be a good 175BHP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1.6 Dohc Vtec b16a engine (like a mini turbo, vtec kicks in at 5400rpm and revs right up to 8650rpm!!!)
5 speed manual
Electric windows front and rear, mirrors, sunroof
Powersteering, central locking
Original phat 5 alloys
front and rear bucket seats as standard!!! (only a four seater)
slammed to the floor on yellow shocks (could be spax's) and red uprated springs
stainless steel exhaust with jap slash cut pipe. k&n air filter (standard airbox with it)
kenwood front door speakers, infinity rear speakers
In the time i have had her she has had two new rear arches, new front wing, full respray, new suspension, front drop links, bottem ball joints, rear trailing arm bushes. full exhaust with s/s bk box, ht leads oils and filters. radiator was replaced with a good second hand one.
There is still a couple of things that need doing to finish her off.
front upper ball joints (£20 of ebay)
Rear wishbone bushes just to shut it up. ( i was going to put the uprated ones on her but the cosworth got in the way)
Paint the trims around the windows and thats it.
i havent used her since november last year when i got my saph bk out. went to her the other day and she started up first turn of the key ( hondas are reliable) it has mot till april i think but i will prob put and other one on her. No tax. Original service pack with lots of paper work.. i have miss placed the service book but there is loads of honda paper work there. Cam belt done at 111,000miles now showing 135,000
