orion 1.6 i ghia.1984 almost mint
after 2 months of ownership i have decided to sell my mint mk1 orion 1.6 injection ghia.i need a new estate car and i have a cossie anyway so ill miss it as it gets attention everywhere it goes but needs must.it has covered 69,000 miles from new with every mot and receipt to prove.almost all the suspension and brakes are new with receipts for calipers,tca's,service etc etc etc.the 1st mot is from 1996 when it had only done 2285 miles so it must have sat in a garage unused for years,after that it has averaged around 7k a year.it has a very grey tidy interior with no rips or tears,the dash is very very good with a couple of small cracks around the heater vents.i think it may have had a o/s wing at some point and a litlle bit of paint here and there.it runs perfectly with no rattles or smoke and the gearbox is perfect also.all the electrics work and i have fitted a cd player,theres only 1 speaker in the back though.i have fitted a set of -60mm springs and the shocks are almost new,its a tad bouncy on the back roads now.i also fitted a set of refurbed mondeo wheels which are very tidy since being painted.the car has never been welde and has been undersealed from new so the floorpans,sills etc are very good.
bad points.(it is 25 years old).the passenger side c/l solenoid needs replaced,about £15,the o/s wing has a crease in it,easily removed with a hammer and dolly.the rear arches are needing a touch up.the n/s being the worst,not rotten or needing replaced as i believe a touch up now will make them last a few years before they will need welded.
i want £1300 for it and it has mot till june the 5th and tax till the end of april,i have the v5 and all the paperwork for the car,it also has 1 key for the doors and ignition,the petrol cap has a seperate key which i believe is standard and the boot works off of a popper.it also has a toad immobiliser which has been tested.i have the spare fob ad keys for the car also.
in the pics some of the trim is missing from the passenger door,this is unbroken and in the glovebox,i removed the door card to check the c/l solenoid and didnt replace it.also the seatbelt hasnt recoiled,i have another belt which i will fit tomorrow.
forgot to mention,the steering wheel is like new and still has the grain,i thought they came from the factory bald and shiney as i have never seen another like it!

What a fantastic car, the memories are flooding in here! I must say if you dont mind. Lose the rear spoiler, put the original alloys on and standard exhaust, oh, and the petrol filler cap. You can then call this a true classic.
Anyway, free bump to a legend of a car........ It cant/wont be that difficult to get back to original standards for any potential buyers.

This used to belong to a friend of mine back in 2006 and she was a clean one then, had a little photoshot while I was there here are a few shots of her back then..

i love these i still have mine in a lock up ive never driven it and it has 63,000 miles on the clock had 3 owners before me i should get it done one day

yeah it was me at the meet.didnt hang about long as i had to go to tonys house.thanks for the photos,it looks diiferent with the clear indicators and standard wheels.you can see how high it sat before i lowered it.you can see the colour better in the second set of photos!
