ESCORT XR3I CONVERTIBLE, i've spent the whole of the winter stripping this escort to bare shell and converting it to the car it is now, it has been resprayed at a cost of £1000 caspian blue is the colour, full escort 90 spec bumpers and bodykit with orion rs rear spoiler, spax suspension, 17 inch wheels, newly built 1.8 zvh engine with new timing belt and tensioner, waterpump, big ends, rings, skimmed pistons, camshaft, gaskets,dump valve, clutch, conversion kit, the engine could be doing with a rolling road tune up as i've never got round to doing it since rebuild! i've estimated power at being 160bhp.. LSD diesel gearbox, pace intercooler, samco water hoses, samco boost hoses, loads of engine chrome, braided fuel lines, full scorpion stainless exhaust, recaro seats, rs steering wheel, boost gauge, cd player, new power hood, also new bottom arms, track rod ends, discs, pads, shoes, wheel cylinders, brake flexi hoses, copper brake pipes all re newed, all new suspension bushes front and back, wishbones, so basicaly everything has been replaced, i will mot car for 1 year and also fit 2 new front tyres on front as that's all it requires to sail through.. no welding has been done to this car apart from the drivers side strenghtening section which only had a crack on it, i'm told that this is very common for the convertible to crack there.. this is one of the freshest escort mk4's i've seen.. i'm only selling this car because i'm after a 4/5 berth caravan of the same value!! wink wink.... i'm sure there's loads more that i've forgot to mention, i have also got a lot of spares to go along with car as i'm now finished toying with escorts, it's still registered as a xr3i (cheap insurance) your quite welcome to come and view it, my telephone number is 07795006291 (garry)..
