Prop shaft services near Hounslow would make them up for you if you have both ends.
Many people do make their own by cutting up the bits they need and then plug welding a sleeve over...might do until you can find a solution.

Can you not mount the gearbox/ engine and hubs and then offer up each side cut with a sleeve over, measure and have welded. You may need a pair to waste as you really want both ends of the shafts butted up, I believe they can cold weld them (or something like that)
Even two wooden ends with a wooden brush shaft to get the length and then compare to both ends of shaft?

I only really have the cossie shafts experience to work on buy that would be about 30 to 40mm. On the cossie the inner cups have a spring in them so you can work out the tolerance from fully compressed to not.

If you can get each shaft end cheap enough you could remove the suspension spring and make up a slider in the middle of a trial shaft and move it around all extremes, you wouldn't be too far out that way.
