40's are no better than the standard twin choke set up you need 45's to benefit:king:

what i mean is a 2litre twin choke flow's the same amount of air as 40's your car will run like a standard pinto on 40's;-)

45's for the extra bite which is whats going on my mk2:king:

Dgas better than the dgav fitted to the 2 litre!

Even better still is the 40 dfi 15 i think its known as- the upgrade for the 3 litre Essex boys.

None too common, but the one to look out for.

As damo says, 40's too small for the big ports on that engine. Needs 45s! I have both!!

Thanks

Hi fella,

Yes I may do! I rebuilt them both to put on a mates mk1 golf 16v, but he wrapped it up before they were fitted!

Thanks

if either are jetted for a 2ltr pinto gimme a bell

Weeksy 14-09-2011 06:17 PM

They came off a pinto hot rod dude!

N.Saph 14-09-2011 11:36 PM

got a price in mind?

Weeksy 15-09-2011 07:18 AM

I would be looking for 300 for the 45's dude.

Just so you know, as these are competition carbs, they don't have the choke gubbins like most of the others. Not really an issue as a couple of stabs with the throttle will wake them up from cold, but just so you know.

No manifold or linkages, just the carbs dude

Thanks

Weeksy
