i personally would go for points. Already have a cd10 on my licence for 80 in a 30 and that lasts for 5 years.

at the time of conviction i had a sp30 with 6 points for ave speed of 104mph so i think it just depends whether the judge got sucked off in the morning
M8 i know what your saying about the cd10
as mine came off 3 months ago
with a 6 pointer you only need 1 more speeding conviction say 95 on the motorway and you could get a 6 month totting up ban

The CD10 never affected my insurance by that much but i suppose all our circumstances are different
