The engine's the easy bit.
This engine cost just under £4k to have built with forged pistons, rods, gas flowed head, knife edged lightened and balanced crank and rods, running a smidge over 400bhp
But then you have to think about the ancilliary stuff, engine management (running Omex 710) £1k, Injectors (Seimens 880cc) £3-400, manifold (Peron) £600, Turbo (Sabre Gt28 Hybrid) £1200, Clutch (Sachs 4 paddle) £600, exhaust, gearbox, pipework, A2A intercooler, better cooling, and so on and on.....
Then what about making it stop and go round things.....
The sky's the limit, this thing's had about £23k spent on it over the past 4 years to get to this point, and boy is it worth it!!
My point is, it ain't all about the engine, that's only a small part of building a half decent car
