I will need to check the make, I don't think it is but it is lithium ion which I think is the same. They have an upper and lower voltage, if you drop below then they can drop too far even if you try and balance charge them.

If you drop too low you need to quickly "excite" them with a normal charger and then swap back to a balance charger.
