I got a 2000 Mondeo petrol 1.6 that has an now and again problem starting from cold,the car starts normally when you drive off it has no power. Most times the car preforms as it should and runs fine but now and again when starting off from cold the engine has no power till it warms up,once it has warmed up it will suddenly regain power and surge forward to its normal running,the temperature gauge reads normal and the heater comes on the same,i.e it doesn't take any longer to get hot with or without power,once it runs normally it remains that way till the next cold start it chooses,all the cooling seems to work properly,I suspect it is some sensor but which one,checked all the multi-plugs and vacuum tubes and they all seem to be in order,no warning lights comes on so I'm stumped.
