Paint work on all new fords since around 2003 has been terrible.
On my focus rs mk1 you could see how thin the paint was on the arch area, no wonder they are all rotten too. Very poor show indeed.
The dealers don't care what they are selling to be honest?
The paint on the mk1 FRS is very thin and they all suffer terribly from stone chips on the front bumpers but I certainly wouldn't say that they are all rotten, the most notable places for rust on them are where the plastic trim on the door mirrors meets the paintwork and where the edges of the plastic boot handle meet the paintwork. I would guess that most of the better ones have had some new paint but mainly because the owners want them to look tidy not because they are rotten.
