Enjoyed the programme but agree with the disappointing coverage of the Sierra's. Considering how much they dominated in the late 1980's would have thought they would have showed more of them. Out of curiosity when they switched to the 2.0 formula in 90/91 and Ford used the Sapphire what engine did they use? was it the cossie lumps but restricted power or was it n/a engine?
They could use a turbo restricted RS500 engine, a 3dr spec motor or a n/a Yb for the transition year. None could provide the power needed, they were to heavy as well when throttled.
BBR even used a 4x4 driveline and Trakstar used a central gearbox
