That's bollocks you own the car its yours not the insurance company until they pay out.
Most cars in pounds get robbed of parts. Mate of mine found his car at a local yard still on the lorry (police called to have it moved) he could see the guys in the yard almost rubbing their hands together
He then went to the office and demanded them to take the car to his house which he paid for.
They could not refuse as he is the legal owner.
