Yes you need a hell of a lot of nutrients to support a body bigger than what it wants to be. you don't need to eat that food every two hours though. Im not a competing athlete and I doubt the op is. telling him he's got to eat at least 6 meals is counter productive, he'll soon get sick of it. Eat clean and eat plenty of it, its not hard.
