Not really sure about this but if there was a written contract and he can prove that he hasn't been paid since the 15th February then he can simply take the company to the small claims court.
Someone may correct me if I'm wrong though.
If its a Limited Company then nowt you can do if its ceased to trade no person is liable so interesting who you are going to slap
