I dont know why he's gone awd, i dont think that the awd will gain much over 2wd, plus the car isnt that lightweight but i guess is fairly robust.

Everyone i've spoken to say's they are banned, but he's adamant that it eligable and its only turbo 4wd that are not to be used.
