i would not do it like that, there is not much of a lip on the wrc top hat to sit on the under side , all the weight of the cars going to be sitting on a 5mm lip,
on my escort it was painted before i new i needed theses top hats , all that we had to do was blow in the turrets , it was no big deal. if worth doeing the job its worth doeing right
get them welded on.
gordon vincent or mk motorsport will make you the top hats . they would be my choice. dewitts will have the rose joint parts .
