Repair itself wasn't done at VW no (due to the stupidly high labour costs they charge!!) but genuine VW parts were used in repairing it!
Im no expert but so long as it was done using genuine Vw parts at a VAT registered garage then im confident you will be ok, good luck with it all and let us know how you get on
I wasnt trying to be an arse I was just trying to cover all bases because I up until December last year I worked for a Ford main dealer and they used all sorts of excuses to get away with things
