Un-insured wankers are a high cause of this.
I think you'll find that the chief cause of this is that young lads smash their cars up more often! One in five young drivers is involved in a crash in their first year behind the wheel, and under 21 males are 10 times more likely to have a crash than over 35 year old males.

It's painful, but young male's premiums are high because of young males!

Uninsured drivers however cost us ALL an extra £30-40 on our premiums to cover the cost of them not being arsed to pay. It's not helped by the fact that uninsured drivers get fuck all in the way of a penalty for not being insured.

Finally (and I'll step off my soapbox in a minute) we're ALL going to be paying more and more in the forthcoming years as the ambulance chaser's continue to dish out cash for pretend injuries.

My neighbour (professional scrounger) has just been awarded £60,000 for a crash a couple of years ago. A crash that was so bad that all it needed to fix it was a door and a wing!
