Default its back from the tuners

got my van back yesterday
the bloke has set it up as good as he can get it at the min
said its lacking fuel presure

he suggested to start from the tank & work forward as my tank looks like its the original diesel item

so said to replace the tank & fuel lines with genuine rs turbo items
& try a new fuel pump.

first of all a rst tank aint gonna fit my van so im stuffed there
so phoned a few places who deal with modified cars & engine conversions etc,
basicaly what ever tank i use has gotta have a swirl pot built into it or i can stick with the tank i have & have a external swirl pot fitted
(£700) 2 heart attacks later !!!
any sugestions of what tank will/may fit ???

as for the fuel pump im thinking if i opt for the cossy bosch 044 pump that should be more than efficient for fuel pressure,
are these a direct replacement for the rst item or do you have to modify anything ??

as for the fuel lines if the diesel ones are still fitted id of thought they would of still done the job,
if anyone knows what diameter pipe the rst has let me know as il replace the lot as a mater of cause & just route it inside the van so nobody can drain my tank

he also said that theres a possibility of the metering unit being faulty but without the process of eliminating the tank, pump & fuel lines first theres no actual way of knowing,
is there a easy way of diagnosing the metering unit as if thats whats faulty it seems pointless replacing other bits

corect me if im wrong but if i have at least half a tank of fuel surely this would eliminate the need of the swirl pot & take that out the equasion,

uprating to a cossy pump will take the pump out the equasion

if anyone can suggest anything else to try before i go & get a new pump please do so as its wrecking me not being able to drive it around
