You don't really need to run it in standing still, you could run it in whilst driving it, but only if you can easily get to a decent stretch of road and can successfully not allow the revs to drop below 2000rpm for that first 20 mins. You don't want to rev it very high either though. Benefit of doing it that way is that it won't get hot.
Not that I have high hopes for the Piper cam though.

yeah ive heard pipers can be a bit hit and miss they can last 5 minutes or 30,000 miles usually nearer to 5 minutes tho
